Our Communities

The service area for the Greater Topsail Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism includes four incorporated towns, and two unincorporated communities. These areas span both Onslow and Pender counties.

On Topsail Island, at the far north, lies North Topsail Beach. At the center of the Island is the town of Surf City, which serves as the commercial hub of the Island. Near the southern end of the Island lies the town of Topsail Beach.

On the mainland, in the northern portion of our service area, the Sneads Ferry community is experiencing rapid growth, both residential and commercial. Situated along U.S. Highway 17, near the Onslow-Pender county line, lies the town of Holly Ridge. Farther south on Highway 17 is Hampstead, which reaches to the northern outgrowth, north of Wilmington.

To the north of the Topsail area is the Jacksonville Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), and to the south lies the Wilmington MSA. Also adjacent to the Topsail area are the Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and the Marine Corps Air Station New River.
